Perennial 90s favorites Throwing Muses tonight. One of the reasons the 90s were a decade jammed with good music. Not only were Throwing Muses a pivotal band during this period, but front-person/founder Kristen Hersh made an indelible impression as a solo artist. Not to mention the lineage and offshoots this band represented.
Tonight it’s a session/concert at Fort Apache Studios in Cambridge. Broadcast by WFNX-FM live on May 2, 1995.
Hard to imagine it’s been 20 years since this session happened – it feels like no time has passed at all.
I would suggest you crank this up and forget about what day it is and just face it; some music is timeless.
‘Nuff said.
